Why do you need high-resolution images?
The calendar is a large, printed document. Because the calendar images will be enlarged, photographs need to be taken and submitted at the highest possible quality.
How do I know if my camera can take high-resolution images?
Refer to your camera model specifications for information about shooting resolution. As a guide, 200 DPI and 2000 x 2000 pixels are considered appropriate minimum resolutions. To check this, click on the photo file, right-click on properties, click on the details tab and scroll down until you see the dimensions and resolutions. Please note that this may impact how your photos are judged.
If my image is a portrait, can I still enter it?
Yes, you can, although note this may impact your image's suitability to appear in the calendar, portrait images will be cropped to fit the aspect ratio of a calendar and will be judged based on the cropped image, potentially inhibiting the photo's success.
